Most people love vacationing in the mountains where there are so many things to do!
SW North Carolina is within a 1-days-drive from most all of the east coast of America. Our ideal location sits between Atlanta, Charlotte, Gatlinburg, and Asheville.
The GSMNP is the number one most visited National Park in America. The Foothills and Blue Ridge Parkway provide endless scenic views. Clingman’s Dome, Gatlinburg, world renowned hiking, abundant waterfalls and creeks, unique wildlife and even train rides entice the interests of most every body to this gorgeous corner of God’s creation.
The four seasons of the Blue Ridge Mountains create abundant opportunities for year-round enjoyment. The Smoky Mountain majesty, the abundant creeks, rivers, and waterfalls, the fall foliage, spring flowers and verdant summers are balanced by the Christmas tree farms and occasional light snows.
From small town shopping, to Biltmore Castle, to river floats, to epic hiking…. the number of local activities could keep a family busy year after year.
However, we also desire to have enough resources available on our own land that there would be no need to leave the property either if that is desired!
Southwest North Carolina is often blessed with snow flurries and ice, but is rarely ever inaccessible.
